Short Term Respite (STR)

What is Short Term Respite (STR)?

Short Term Respite provides funded support to stay somewhere away from home for a short period. During this time, you will be supported.

STR can be used up to 14 days at a time and up to 28 days per year.

Short Term Respite includes:

Accommodation

Stay in your own home or a home stay arrangement

Supports will assist you with daily living activities

Supports to assist you with personal care

Assistance with mobility and transfers

Supports to access the community, social or cultural activities
